I think the word bicycling is not correct. I see it in a few articles. Bi means 2 or double. So if you use the word bicycling you mean 2 bikes or 2 cycles. I imagine it is mixed with the word bicylettes what also means bikes(short for bicylettes(wikipedia)).


In short terms: OR CYCLING - OR RIDE A BIKE but not bicycling

Hope this is the right information.

Thank you for your insightful thought on the word "bicycling", yet it is a word meaning to ride a bicycle which is also a word. The "bi" refers to 2 wheels - not two people or two bikes. Just like in unicycle, the "uni" refers to one wheel.
