A little bit about FYI Denmark and me.
I built this site as an ongoing project to not only help other expats moving to Denmark, but also to let us give back to some of the people who helped us, when we first moved to Denmark.
The first time I got to Denmark I had a lot of questions, too. Even now, I am still learning new things about living in this tiny part of Scandinavia. My name is Charlie (some know me as Trylle Charlie) and this is my 4th time living in Denmark. This time it is probably permanent. I have been a professional traveling magician for 30 years, yet have now settled down in Denmark.
First time (back in 1978) I lived in Denmark, I worked in northern Sjælland, while living in København. The next time I resided in Drågør (1982) and worked at Kastrup Lufthavn and than back again in 1999 as a entertainer. This time we arrived back here again in 2008 and do not plan on going anywhere else. So have a bit of experience as an expat in Denmark.
I do NOT profess to know everything about Denmark, but I have traveled all over Denmark, lived in both Sjælland and Jylland, and speak the language.
Everytime I and my family have returned to Denmark, we have had to relearn many things, since things are always changing. The learning curve is a little easier each time, but there have been many times, when we wished we had access to the type of information provided here.
I will confess that FYI Denmark does not have all the answers, since people come from so many different parts of the world. We all have our own unique situations and reasons for coming to Denmark, but I am sure that you will find lots of helpful information.
I have also included plenty of tourist information, so you can benefit from my knowledge as well. The information here can save you time, money and frustration.
Welcome to Denmark!

There are many things to bring from home when considering relocating to Denmark. Denmark is a modern and very diverse country, but not all things from home can be found here, so consider stocking up!
