Importing car to Denmark

I have read your page regarding import of vehicles into Denmark: Importing a Car to Denmark

Our company is licensed by the danish tax authorities (SKAT) to calculate registration taxes and collect them. One of the services we offer is to help people moving to Denmark to pay the registration tax and register their car in Denmark. Often people can have danish license plates an hour or two after they start the process but our standard promise is 24 hours.

Roughly speaking the process of registering a car in Denmark involves a customs inspection, calculation and payment of the registration taxes and physically obtaining license plates. We currently have 5 car inspections sites of our own in the copenhagen area and a network of car inspection companies across Denmark, that perform customs inspections and sell license plates. This allows us to deliver a consistent, smooth and fast service all over the country and our customers love us.

We also offer accurate preliminary calculations of the registration tax when our customers need to evaluate the cost of bringing a car into Denmark. Finally I think some of your readers would benefit from knowing about our service and it would be great if you could mention our company as a quick alternative to SKAT.

Kind regards, Lasse

It's true that you don't need the passport to cross the borders but, you do need a passport to identify your self to a police officer if they ask you.
