My ancestors are from a town in northwest Germany, Lohne. I have always wondered about my maiden name which is Knueven. A german professor told me it was not german. I was wondering if it could have come from Denmark. Do you have any thoughts on this ?
Response:
Knueven is not a Danish name and if you need more information, google the name or check ancestory.com and than you can find your answer. Maybe you should use a few clicks and some research time instead of asking other people to do your family tree for you. This is a site for expats and not your personal research team!
P.S. Germany is not part of Denmark.

As an expat, I am always on the lookout budget denmark tips and ideas. Since the country is so expensive to live in, it is nice to find a bargain or a freebie every once in awhile. You found them!
