Storing bicycle cases in Denmark.

by Karen

Hello! Three of us will flying to Denmark to do a bicycle trip this summer. We would like to pack the bikes for the flight in our hard-shelled bike cases. Do you have a suggestion where we could leave these rather large cases during our trip?

Answer: There is a baggage storage at the airport, but they usually only allow a max of 3 days storage, yet you could contact them via www.cph.dk . Another option is the baggage storage at the main train station. There you can store fór a max of 10 days and possibly longer if you have prearranged it with them. Contact them via DSB.dk.

Another option is renting a storage locker. There is one called Shurgaard located literally 4 km from the airport at Bjørnbaksvej 4, 2770 Kastrup, Tårnby. It would probably be cheaper to rent there for long term than at the airport or main train station. You could walk there if necessary or take a taxi there. There is a 1 month min rental. Probably about 400 - 500 for a room to fit the 3 cases. I would really consider contacting them and asking for their advice. They might even arrange some sort of pick up at the airport.

Hope that helps. Tell them that Charlie sent you!

It's true that you don't need the passport to cross the borders but, you do need a passport to identify your self to a police officer if they ask you.
