im English i live in the united kingdoms and have a brand new passport my girlfriend lives in faroe island in Denmark and i am planning on moving there to find work should i try and file for a work and residency visa now or after i find work when i get there ?
Reply: Since the Faroe Islands are part of Denmark and part of the EU, you have a right to work anywhere in EU zone since you are a UK citizen (I assume you are a UK citizen). You do not need a work or resident permit to look or apply for work in the Faroe Islands (as far as I know). I would check with the Danish embassey/consulate - there is one in Manchester - just give them a ring and ask them to verify it.
I am not an expert on the Faroe Islands and since they are self governed they may seperate rules, but I have never heard anything to that effect.
