Opening a bank account in Denmark

by James
(USA)

I am planning on moving to Denmark in a few years. I would like to start putting money in a bank account there but I am not in a position to get a CPR number yet. Its going to take me a while to get my papers together. I know I have read it is hard to do. but everyone says there are some banks that do this.. Can you point me in the right direction? I would like to have something in place when I do apply for residence permits and the eventual CPR number. Any help would be appreciated.

Response: Contact the banks listed on the Banks in Denmark page. I am not going to do your banking for you. It is just a matter of you taking the initiative to call and talk with them or email the banks and they can advise you if there is any possibility of banking with them.
