EXPAT INFO?

I am the single father of a minor Danish American with dual citizenship living in the U.S.

The child's mother is Danish and lives in DK. I have never received any child support from her in over 12 years.

I am considering moving to DK.

Are there any special accommodations to the standard procedures of immigration for this type of situation?

Thank you.

I can be reached at john_lebeau@msn.com

A: John, I would be hesitant to answer a question based on your situation. Your best bet is to talk the immigration office directly and possibly talking to a lawyer if you are seeking child support. Does sound like it you could apply under the family reunification, but not sure if you are married, were ever married, if the mother is in contact with her child, etc..

Talk with the immigration office and explain your case in detail to them and they can guide you properly.

Charlie
