Been to the bookshop in Denmark. Find any good engish books to read? Probably not and if you did, they were outrageously expensive. Even most of the used bookshops that deal in english fiction only have books that are 10 years out of date or starting at 50kr each.

Where can you find English Books to read if you live in Denmark is a question posed by many expats. The best avenue is through other expats or Amazon UK

If you are looking for some English fiction books to read while living in Denmark and would rather not pay 150 kroner for each one, then check out our little English bookshop. These are books that we have read and are making available to others who wish to enjoy them.

They are very reasonably priced. The cost of posting them can be expensive, so it is better to buy several books and save on postage. The book weight is listed next to each book (not including packaging) and should give you an idea of what the postage rate is in Denmark.

There is also a link to Amazon.co.uk on each title, so that you can read the reviews and also get an idea of what it costs to get books sent over from the UK. Remember you do not need to pay import taxes on anything you buy within the EU (which includes the UK).

Another possible source for good used English books are auction sites in Denmark such as QXl, Guloggratis or Bla Avis. There is not a large selection but you will find some books there.

Another bookshop source are auction sites such as ebay.co.uk and ebid.net. A good idea is to find someone who has lots of books for sale, email them and ask them about arranging a bulk rate. If you just buy the books from them and arrange your own delivery you can save quite a bit.

A good source for delivery is Parcel2Go or DHL. They both have decent rates for picking up a box up to 25kg and delivering it directly to your door for around £25. This also works for other items.

Have even used them to collect from Costco and deliver food items. This is a bit more tricky since you need to find a helpful Costco to assist. But it can be done.

Of course, we would also love for you to buy some of our books, so we can make room for more on our shelves. We only charge extra for the postage - the exact fee we pay. No extra fees like packaging and handling. If you live in Denmark, you know that postage rates are NUTS!

We can also arrange to meet, so you can collect in person and avoid postage charges.

If you are willing to support our sponsors, we will even reduce some of the fees. Contact us for more information.

Postage rates for Denmark are below. These may change if Post Danmark raises their rates.
